Jehovah's Witnesses LIE!
by David J. Stewart
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." -Matthew 7:15A Little Demonic Booklet

I am now going to EXPOSE and REFUTE the Jehovah's Witnesses' (JWs) publication, Knowledge That Leads to Everlasting Life (Publishers: Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, inc and the International Bible Students Association, 1984 edition). In this little booklet, which is distributed by the JWs, many LIES are presented to the reader. Only God knows the total number of victims who have gone to Hell, because of the lies of the Jehovah's Witnesses. On page 173 of this JW booklet, we read the title, Steps That Lead to Life Eternal, and I quote ...
"Unlike Jesus, we are imperfect and can reach the milestone of baptism only after taking other vital steps. This begins by talking accurate knowledge of Jehovah God and Jesus Christ into our heart. Doing this causes us to exercise faith and to have profound love for God. (Matthew 22:37-40; Romans 10:17; Hebrews 11:6). Compliance with God's laws, principles, and standards should move us to repent, expressing godly sorrow over our past sins. This leads to conversion, that is, to a turning around and abandoning any wrong course we followed when we did not have the knowledge of God. (Acts 3:19) Naturally, if we are still secretly practicing some sin instead of doing what is righteous, we have not really turned around, nor have we fooled God. Jehovah detects all hypocrisy.--Luke 12:2,3. -(page 173, Knowledge That Leads to Everlasting Life).
These are lies of the Devil. Several things are wrong with the above statements.
First, baptism is NOT required by God for salvation (1st Corinthians 1:17). Out of all the hundreds of references to faith in the New Testament, baptism is usually NOT mentioned with faith. Please read, What is Baptism?
Secondly, there are no "vital steps" required for a person to be baptized. There is only ONE step (singular), and that is to become a born-again believer (John 3:3). A person becomes a born-again believer by trusting solely upon Jesus Christ as personal Savior, for the forgiveness of sin (Romans 4:5; 10:13). The requirement to be baptized is simply to ALREADY be a Christian believer. A policeman wears his badge because he's ALREADY a policeman. A woman wears a wedding ring because she's ALREADY married. And a believer gets baptized because he's ALREADY a believer. We get baptized because we ARE saved, not to get saved.
Thirdly, the above statement, "Compliance with God's laws, principles, and standards should move us to repent" is a lie of Satan. Repentance in a person's mind always comes first, before any change in their life. Biblical "repentance" is a change of mind. The change of life will follow. We read in 2nd Corinthians 7:10, "For godly sorrow worketh repentance ..." There's nothing in this Scripture which speaks of "complying" with anything. Jehovah's Witnesses teach people to join their visible organization, to learn about their cult, and then to be baptized once they've made those "vital steps" leading up to baptism. The Word of God NEVER teaches anything about preparation, or vital steps, before salvation. Jesus never told anyone to first get educated concerning religion, and then they could get saved.
No, Jesus simply said ...
"I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." -John 6:35
"I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." -John 8:12
" I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." -John 10:9
"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." -John 11:25
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." -John 14:6
Get the picture? Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven--NOT religion, NOT baptism, NOT church membership, NOT the sacraments, NOT good works, NOT a commitment to God, NOT devotion to God, etc. Jesus died for our sins, and only Jesus has the scars in His feet and hands. Only Jesus can forgive our sins. Jehovah's Witnesses are wolves in sheep's clothing, who teach damnable heresies. They require people to COMPLY with certain laws, principles, and standards before they can come to Jesus Christ for salvation. Jesus never asks anyone to give up anything, because eternal life is a totally FREE GIFT (Romans 5:15), paid for by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Now JWs will deceitfully claim to believe the same thing; BUT, don't be fooled ... they are NOT trusting Jesus alone for salvation.
Jehovah's Witnesses clearly require good works for salvation. Repentance from sin is not required for salvation, only repentance of sin. A person only needs to realize and admit their sinful condition to God, and recognize their need for the Savior, to be saved. All you need to do to be saved is to believe on Christ. Acts 16:31 declares, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved ..." Romans 4:5 couldn't be any clearer, "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."
More Doctrines of Devils
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." -1st Timothy 4:1
On page 178 of Knowledge That Leads to Everlasting Life, we read ...
"Although baptism is vitally important, it is not a guarantee of salvation. Jesus did not say: "Everyone baptized will be saved." Instead, he said: "He that endureth to the end is the one that will be saved." (Matthew 24:13) Therefore, it is vital that you seek God's Kingdom first by making it the paramount concern in your life.--Matthew 6:25-34. To endure in your spiritual service to Jehovah, you will want to set spiritual goals for yourself ..." (page 178, Knowledge That Leads to Everlasting Life).
Clearly, this is works salvation. According to Jehovah's Witnesses, one must ENDURE 'til the end to be saved. Despite what JWs claim, Jesus never taught such lies. In Matthew 24:13, Jesus was clearly speaking of the coming 7-year Tribulation Period, and was not referring to meriting Heaven. We read in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." This is the simple plan of salvation--Jesus came into this world to save sinners, by shedding His blood to pay for our sins, and all He asks of us is to BELIEVE on Him as our Savior. I didn't read anything about "enduring to the end" to be saved. No, the Bible just tells us to BELIEVE upon Christ for our salvation. John 3:18 makes us the promise, "He that believeth on him is not condemned..." And Romans 4:3-5 so wonderfully exclaims, "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Did you read that? The Bible says if you try to work your way to Heaven, that you're making God a debtor! God owes us nothing. We deserve Hell for all eternity because of our many sins. In other words, if you try to merit Heaven, you will burn in the Lake of Fire forever. No amount of dedication, effort, good works, commitment, charity, endurance, or loyalty to a religious organization can bring you even one centimeter closer to Heaven's pearly gates. You are a woeful sinner in need of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Jehovah's Witnesses are trusting upon their own self-righteousness to save them. But Psalm 118:8 says, "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
I don't care if you endure to the end, or quit, you will NOT be condemned if you place all your faith solely in Jesus Christ. You can get baptized all you want, and endure as much as you can, and still go straight to Hell. One great deception which Satan uses much today, is to get people to trust Jesus AND something else. This is a sure road to Hell. Why? Because you're NOT really trusting Christ. If I tell you that I trust you with my money, but then I follow you around to spy on you, then I'm not trusting you. If you ADD anything to faith alone in Christ, then you are NOT totally trusting Jesus, and have followed false religion instead. 95% of the religious people in this world are following false religion, and know not Jesus Christ as personal Savior.
To go to Heaven, one must simply only trust Jesus to forgive his sins. But, as you will understand in the next section, you need to make sure you have the correct Jesus.
Another Jesus, from Hell
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached ... ye might well bear with him." -2nd Corinthians 11:3,4
Furthermore, even if JWs were trusting Jesus Christ solely for salvation, it wouldn't matter, because they propagate a FALSE Christ. JWs staunchly deny the Biblical teaching that Jesus Christ is GOD ALMIGHTY! JWs claim that Jesus is "a god"; but not "Almighty God." Well, the Bible says in black and white that Jesus is the "Almighty." Revelation 1:8 states, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." In Isaiah 9:6, Jesus is called "The mighty God." John 10:33 states, "The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." Clearly, Jesus proclaimed Himself as God Almighty! The strongest evidence found in the Bible concerning Christ's deity is John 1:1,14 which states, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." Jesus is the Living Word, and the Bible is the Written Word.
The false Jesus of the Jehovah's Witnesses is NOT the Jesus of the Word of God. JWs also deny the Godhead, that God literally exists in three separate beings (Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9), yet one in every way (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1st John 5:7). JWs don't believe that the Holy Spirit of God indwells each believer. JWs don't recognize the Holy Spirit as a Person. A common heresy nowadays is the belief that God created the universe THROUGH Christ; but, not BY Christ Himself. On the contrary, we read in Colossians 1:16, "For BY HIM were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him." The Jesus of the Bible is the Creator of the universe. John 1:10, "He was in the world, and the world was made BY HIM, and the world knew him not." The Jesus of the Bible is NOT the Jesus of the Jehovah's Witnesses. For more information, please read Misconceptions Concerning Christ. The Jehovah's Witness' Jesus is straight from Hell, and is not the Christ of the Bible.
Dirty Little Secrets
Few JWs will never tell you what they really believe concerning Jesus Christ, because they know it will turn away many people from following them. JWs believe that Jesus Christ was Michael, the archangel, incarnate! That's right! JWs believe that Jesus was only an angel in the flesh, a god; but, not Almighty God. Thus, JWs deny that Jesus is come in the flesh, which makes them LIARS and ANTICHRISTS according to 1st John 2:22, "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." But you say, wait a minute, JWs do believe that Jesus came and died on the cross for our sins. No, JWs believe that Michael came and died on the cross, as a means of opening the door of salvation to all men. In fact, JWs believe and teach that Lucifer (the Devil) and Jesus (Michael) are brothers. Such demonic teachings are not found in the Word of God. Jesus came to this world as God Almighty in the flesh, the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16; 1st Timothy 3:16).
As PROOF that Jehovah's Witnesses are LIARS, the New World Translation (NWT) of the Bible, which the Jehovah's Witnesses use, ADDS the article "a" before the word "God" in John 1:1. So the NWT reads, "...and the Word was a God." Why, out of all the other religions and Bibles on earth, do only the Jehovah's Witnesses pervert this particular Scripture by adding the article "a"? The answer is because they are a false religion!!! By the way, the JWs and Charles Taze Russell (JW founder) were sued for corrupting the Bible. Russell was also sued in New York city, back in the early 20th century, for selling magic seeds which were supposed to produce much more yield than ordinary seeds. The Department of Agriculture sued him and won. Charles T. Russell was a crackpot fraud, who founded the JW organization. He was also an occult 33rd degree Mason, and is buried in the Greater Masonic Pittsburgh Center. Interestingly, Joseph Smith who founded the Mormons in 1830, was also a 33rd degree Mason. Freemasonry is of the Devil. You see, JWs won't tell you these dirty little secrets, because it reveals that they are part of Satan's religious system.
